Si no puedes meditar

en cualquier tiempo y en cualquier parte,

tu meditación sin pensamiento será sólo ilusión.

Si no comprendes tu mente llana

aún ligada a esperanza y temor.

Resumiéndolos a grandes rasgos,

• con un compañero inapropiado: una mujer que está comprometida con otra persona, una persona relacionada con uno por menos de siete grados de consanguinidad, una prostituta que ha sido contratada por otra persona, alguien que está bajo la tutela de sus padres, de la Estado, o de algún otro tutor, o alguien observando un voto de celibato;
• en un lugar inapropiado: frente a una estupa, en un templo, sobre ladrillos o loza rota, o sobre una superficie dura y desigual que daña al compañero, y así sucesivamente;

Reflecting on negative actions to be avoided Negative actions comprise:

Naturally shameful deeds: these are actions that produce negative consequences for anyone who commits them. They include the root and lesser afflictive emotions (the three poisons, and pride, jealousy, miserliness, and the rest) that can motivate negative activity, and all the nonvirtuous actions motivated by these defilements and perpetrated by the body, speech, and mind.

Shameful deeds that violate edicts: these are actions that produce negative consequences for someone if they go against any vows that that person has taken.

All the sufferings in cyclic existence arise from and are caused by these negative actions. Although they are of many different kinds, as far as we are concerned in adopting virtue and giving up evil, the most important of them can be roughly summarized as ten in number, as the Treasury of Abhidharma declares:

Summarizing them roughly,
With regard to both positive and negative deeds
The path of action is explained as tenfold.

THE THREE NEGATIVE ACTIONS OF THE BODY

Taking Life

Taking life involves the wish to kill, the act of killing without mistaking the intended victim, and not abandoning one’s murderous intentions until death ensues.

Taking What Is Not Given

This involves such acts as stealing someone else’s property or depriving them of it without it being given, in either case with a wish to obtain it for oneself.

Sexual Misconduct

Sexual misconduct refers to sexual relations:
• with an inappropriate partner — a woman who is committed to someone else, someone related to one by fewer than seven degrees of consanguinity, a prostitute who has been hired by another person, someone who is the ward of his or her parents, of the state, or of some other guardian, or someone observing a vow of celibacy;
• at an inappropriate time — when the partner is unwell, distressed, pregnant or menstruating, or underage, and so on;
• in an inappropriate place — in front of a stupa, in a temple, on top of bricks or broken earthenware, or on a hard, uneven surface that hurts one’s partner, and so on;
• or by an inappropriate route — using any passage other than the vagina.

These concern laypeople, but for someone who has taken a vow of celibacy, sexual relations of any kind constitute sexual misconduct.

The Treasury of Abhidharma says:

Taking life is to kill another
Intentionally and without mistake.
Taking what is not given is to appropriate
Another’s property by force or stealth.
Sex with improper desires
Comprises the four kinds of sexual misconduct.

THE FOUR NEGATIVE ACTIONS OF SPEECH

Lying

When one lies, one deceitfully twists things round and knowingly says something untrue, and the other person understands what one has said.

This is not confined to speech: physical gestures can also be lies.

Sowing Discord

Sowing discord involves wanting to divide two people who get on well, saying things that trouble the other person, and his or her grasping what one means.

Harsh Speech

With harsh speech, one directly says things within someone’s hearing that affect him or her deeply—recounting that person’s faults, for example—and the person absorbs what one has said.

Worthless Chatter

Worthless chatter comprises negative speech other than the first three kinds. It includes flattery; singing and acting; conversation about war, business, love, and so forth; and conversation involving wrong philosophical views.

About these, the Treasury of Abhidharma has this to say:

Lies are words that pervert the truth
And whose meaning is actually understood.
Divisive speech is that spoken with a poisoned mind,
Intent on splitting other people.
Harsh words are those one does not like to hear.
All speech influenced by afflictive emotions is worthless chatter.

THE THREE NEGATIVE ACTIONS OF MIND

Covetousness

Covetousness involves a deep-seated wish and desire to make someone else’s house, property, entourage, servants, and suchlike one’s own.

Harmful Intent

Harmful intent is a deep-rooted wish to harm another person and cause them pain.

Wrong Views

Wrong views involve holding the firm belief that there is no truth in the law regarding actions and their effects, that there are no previous and future lives, that the Three Jewels do not exist, and so on.

This is stated in the Treasury of Abhidharma as follows:

Covetousness is perverse attachment to others’ property.
Malice is hatred of sentient beings.
The view that there is no virtue
And no evil is wrong view.

These ten have been described here in terms of the complete course of the action, but you should also definitely avoid any acts similar to the ten negative actions, for example, killing unintentionally, by mistake. As it is said,

With attachment, aversion, and bewilderment—
Actions thus engendered are negative.

In particular, criticism of anything connected with the Dharma — the sublime doctrine, the spiritual friend who teaches it, and so forth — is said to be related to wrong view and has immeasurably negative consequences, as stated in the Transcendent Wisdom in Eight Thousand Verses:

Subhuti, those who accumulate actions that deprive them of the Dharma fall headlong, to be reborn in the lower realms. They suffer in the great hell where beings’ torments are unsurpassed.

And in the Sutra of the Miracle of Decisive Pacification we read:

For many, many kalpas too,
One’s body—five hundred leagues in size,
And on that body five hundred heads,
And in those heads, in every one,
No fewer than five hundred tongues,
And on each tongue a giant plow
With full five hundred shares, no less,
Burning their blazing furrows there—
All this because of evil deeds, of being critical.

Atisa estaba extremadamente complacida.
"¡Maravilloso!", Dijo.

"El conocimiento es tan infinito como las estrellas en el cielo;

Padampa Sangye dice;

El incomparable Dagpo dice;

Bodhichita

Study, reflect and meditate on the Dharma, therefore, without dissociating one from the other, on the firm basis of the love and compassion of bodhicitta. Without first eliminating doubts through study, you will never be able to practice. It is said:

“To meditate without having studied
Is like climbing a rock when you have no arms.”

Eliminating doubts through study does not mean that you have to know all the vast and innumerable subjects that there are to be known. In this degenerate era, that would never be possible within a short lifetime. What it does mean is that whatever teachings you are going to put into practice, you should know exactly how to do so from beginning to end without a single mistake. Any hesitations you might have, you should clear away by reflecting on those teachings.

When Atisa was at Nyethang, Nachung Tonpa of Shang, Kyung Tonpa and Lhangtsang Tonpa asked him to teach them about the different systems of logic. Atisa replied, "The non-Buddhist tirthikas and the Buddhists themselves have many systems, but they are all just chains of discursive thought. There is no need for all those innumerable ideas life is to short to go through them all. Now is the time to reduce these things to their essence.”

“How does one reduce them to their essence?" Nachung Tonpa of Shang asked. “By training in bodhicitta with love and compassion for all living creatures throughout space. By making strenuous efforts in the two accumulations for the benefit of all those beings. By dedicating all the sources of future good thus created to the perfect enlightenment of each and every being. And, finally, by recognizing that all these things are empty by nature, like dreams or magical illusions.”

If you do not know how to reduce any practice to its essence, no amount of information, knowledge and intellectual understanding will be of any use to you at all. When Atisa came to Tibet, he was invited to visit the great translator Rinchen Zangpo. He questioned the translator about which teachings he knew, naming a long list, one after another. It turned out that there were none that Rinchen Zangpo did not know. Atisa was extremely pleased.
“Wonderful!" he said. "The fact that someone as learned as yourself already lives in Tibet means my visit is quite superfluous. And how do you combine all these teachings when you sit down to practice?”
"I practice each one as it is explained in its own text,” said Rinchen Zangpo.
"Rotten translator!” cried Atisa in disappointment.” Then my coming to Tibet was necessary after all!"
"But what should I do instead?" asked the translator.
"You should find the essential point common to all the teachings and practice that way," Atisa told him.
It is indispensable to seek the vital point of the practice, based on the teacher's pith instructions. Once you know the essential point, you must put it into practice, or it will be utterly useless. Jetsun Milarepa said:

“The hungry are not satisfied by hearing about food; what they need is to eat.
In the same way, just to know about Dharma is useless; It has to be practiced.”

The purpose of practice is to be an antidote for negative emotions and ego-clinging. Jetsun Milarepa said:

“It is said that you can tell whether someone has just eaten by how red his face is.
Similarly, you can tell whether people know and practice the Dharma by whether it works as a remedy for their negative emotions and ego-clinging.”

Potowa asked Geshe Tonpa what was the dividing line between Dharma and non-Dharma. The geshe answered:

“If it counteracts negative emotions it is Dharma. If it doesn't, it is non-Dharma
If it doesn’t fit with worldly ways it is Dharma. If it fits, it is non-Dharma.
If it fits with the scriptures and your instructions it is Dharma. If it doesn't fit, it is non-Dharma.
If it leaves a positive imprint it is Dharma. If it leaves a negative imprint it is non-Dharma.”

Master Chegom says;

“To believe in the effects of actions is the right view for those of ordinary faculties. To realize all inner and outer phenomena as the union both of appearance and emptiness, and of awareness and emptiness, is the right view for those of higher faculties. To realize that the view, the one who holds it and realization itself are indivisible (Since the view is the realization of emptiness, the realize, what is realized and the process of realization are recognized as being without any intrinsic reality. They only appear as the illusory magical display of awareness, empty and naturally radiant.) is the right view for those of the highest faculties.
To keep the mind totally concentrated on its object is the correct meditation for those of ordinary faculties. To rest concentrated on the four unions(union of appearances and emptiness, awareness and emptiness, bliss and emptiness and clarity and emptiness.) is the right meditation for those of higher faculties.
A state of non-conceptualization in which there is no object of meditation, no meditator and no meditative experience is the right meditation for those of the highest faculties.
To be as wary about the effects of actions as one is careful to protect one's eyes is the right action for those of ordinary faculties. To act while experiencing everything as a dream and an illusion is the right action for those of higher faculties. Total non-action(this means acting without conceptualizing, in the realization that the actor, the action and the object acted upon are all without intrinsic reality.) is the right action for those of the highest faculties.
The progressive diminution of ego-clinging, negative emotions and thoughts is the sign of ‘warmth’ for all practitioners, be they of ordinary, higher or the highest faculties”

Similar words are to be found in ‘The Precious Supreme Path’ by the Peerless Dagpo. When studying Dharma, therefore, you should know how to get at the essence of it. The great Longchenpa says:

"Knowledge is as infinite as the stars in the sky;
There is no end to all the subjects one could study.
It is better to grasp straight away their very essence-The unchanging fortress of the dharmakaya.”

Then, as you reflect on Dharma, you should rid yourself of any doubts.

Padampa Sangye says;
“Seek the teacher's instructions like a mother falcon seeking her prey.
Listen to the teachings like a deer listening to music
Meditate on them like a dumb person savoring food
Contemplate them like a northern nomad shearing sheep
Reach their result, like the sun coming out from behind the clouds.”
Hearing the Dharma, reflecting on it and meditating upon it should go hand in hand.

The peerless Dagpo says;
“To churn together study, reflection and meditation on the Dharma
is an infallible essential point.”
The result of study, reflection and meditation should be a steady and real increase in the love and compassion of bodhicitta, together with a steady and real diminution of ego-clinging and negative emotions. This instruction on how to arouse bodhicitta is the quintessence of all Dharma teachings and the essential element of all paths. It is the indispensable teaching, to have which is definitely enough by itself but to lack which is sure to render everything else futile. Do not to be content just with hearing and understanding it. Put it into practice from the very depth of your heart!

“I claim to be arousing bodbicitta, but still it has not arisen in me.
I have trained in the path of the six perfections, but have remained selfish.

Bless me and small-minded beings like me,
That we may train in the sublime bodhicitta.”

PROFECÍAS de GURU RINPOCHE

GURU RINPOCHE

Las mujeres no honran ni sostienen la castidad;

Los alcohólicos morirán de enfermedades cerebrovasculares; los jugadores morirán de trastornos estomacales; los que  calumnian morirán de enfermedades relacionadas con la garganta; los fumadores pesados morirán de enfermedades pulmonares;

When is Dharma ending age???

“When the Iron Birds are flying in the sky and the Iron Horses are running on the roads, we know that dharma-ending age has arrived. At this time, Tibetan Buddhism shall flourish globally. When the iron bird flies and the horses run on wheels, the Tibetan people will be scattered like ants across the world, and the Dharma will come to the land of the red men (Western Countries).

In this Dharma-ending age, “Rulers do not act like Rulers, Subjects do not act like Subjects, Fathers do no act like Fathers, Sons do not act like Sons”. The relationships between Fathers and Sons are more like Playmates. Women do not honor and uphold chastity; men indulge in lust and unrestrained sexual misconducts.

Guru Rinpoche further prophesied that in that era, carriages do not require horses to move, they self-propel. Youngsters in that era step on something that shaped like a bullhorn and there are wheels underneath that allow them to skate everywhere. It is even stranger that people in that era do not need to leave their houses to know things that happen around the world, just by sitting in front of a mirror.

Guru Rinpoche further said that in that era, many ordained monks are greedy and pursue wealth and fame. They travel everywhere to cheat on their followers. They plan and think of ways to get offerings and donations from followers and possess their own private wealth and properties, yet they do not engage in any Buddhist practices or chanting on their own. They indulge in music, dance and entertainments. They break precepts and vows without any remorse.

Guru Rinpoche commented that in that era, husband and wife relationship shall be ruined and damaged by so-called “double-tongues” women, who instigate, provoke and create disharmony within families. Unfilial sons and daughters will chase their parents out from home. Brothers and sisters shall fight among themselves for inheritance, and violate the five precepts without remorse.

Buddha’s teaching gradually faded and eventually lost. There shall be incest among the closest kin. Many people shall be addicted to gambling, drugs and alcohol. Buddhas’ statues and paintings, Buddhist ritual instruments are sold in flea markets on the streets.

Vintage valuables passed down from generations to generations shall be sold and auctioned in international markets. Deforestation and over exploitation of nature causes ecological imbalances thereby resulting in frequent natural disasters. Thieves and robberies shall infest the entire city and paupers and beggars are seen everywhere.

In the year of metal dragon, demons entered the water. In the year of Metal Snake, demons entered the wind and thunder frost hail, wreaking havoc and creating disasters for many. In the year of Water Goat, here shall be widespread of infectious diseases.

Alcoholics shall die of cerebrovascular diseases; gamblers shall die of stomach disorder; slander shall die of throat-related diseases; heavy smokers shall die of lungs diseases; over consumption of eggs, garlic and onion causes frequent nightmares resulting in mental disturbances and eventually related death; hunters and slaughter of animals shall die of liver and intestines related diseases, sinners and those with heavy bad karma shall die of many types of diseases that are painful and sufferings.

The year of Wood Rooster is when the strength of Buddhism is the weakest. Evil spirits and demons shall take opportunity at this time to wrench more havocs and creating more damages.

In the year of Earth Ox, there shall be wars among countries and many people shall perish.

Buddhism is still intact in Bhutan although few monks started deviating from the monastic rules.

So we all Bhutanese must upheld our religion and support the monastic body.

HIS HOLINESS DUNGSE SHENPHEN DAWA NORBU RINPOCHE

HIS HOLINESS DUNGSE SHENPHEN DAWA NORBU RINPOCHE

-(Lama Rangbar Nyima Ozer)

Pure Extract of Springtime Rainbow Clouds:

A Prayer for Swift Rebirth

NAMO GURAVE

Master of the assembly of Immortal Padma Tötreng's awareness-holders

Dwelling at the threshold of a great holy being's threefold liberation,

For the prayerful child born co-emergent in your Trikaya expanse,

In the realm of all-pervasive compassion, power of your intent never changes.

Toddlers who want so much, attached with clinging to pointless material things

Wish the impermanent objects of their pointless fixation were pure, but

This is the nature of pointless, projective ignorance of self-deception where,

Right now, by the Lama's kindness, the power of realizing awareness is brought up.

Though not oneself the owner of the ancestral legacy of Kuntuzangpo's fortune,

According to ability, one either recognizes the Lama's Buddha mind or not,

Which distinguishes Buddhas and sentient beings, just as they are in fact --

The changeless original basis, arising as Kuntuzangpo's lineage.

Though signs of the world's and beings' degeneration are rampant in this

Unfortunate time and place, at the feet of the Lama whose quality is kindness

The five families of amazing marks and signs of emanation are contained in the mandala

Of fortunate beings, so with the vow of [never abandoning] beings until Samsara empties,

Everything is accomplished altogether.

Recognizing this to be the Lama's kindness is so wonderful but as

The sign of one's own and others' collective karma running out, there is impermanence.

As the final deed prophesied of those following in Buddha's footsteps,

They go to other realms, and here in the empty space left behind,

Disciple-children are oh, so bereaved!

Therefore the interdependent Dharmata of beings' benefit

Depends on the Lama's previous Tugdam, and on purity of previous karma and aspiration.

So considering beings drowning in the river of samsara's misery,

Please display the most excellent rebirth of the admiral

Who ships beings to full liberation!

By the great downpour of blessings of immortal Padmakara

By the power of activity of fully perfecting the two siddhis of Wrathful Supreme Horse

In the immaculate winter skies of the Tara-Mother who increases life, merit and elegance

May you, the waxing positive force of total Benefit, a bright smiling Moon,

Rise high amidst families of chief sons of instated Victors

And appear as the honored guest in a single mandala for oneself and others born presently.

So incited by excessive fascination with conventions of words and meanings, and by a special wish to alleviate my own and other Dharma brothers' and sisters' as well as beings' distress in general, may the stated intent of this prayer be rapidly auspicious, as marks and signs of swift accomplishment swiftly pervading underground, on earth and in the sky. Offered by the typical Konchok Tashi. Orgyen Chö Dzong, c. April 25, 2018.

His Holiness Dungse Shenphen Dawa Norbu Rinpoche, was a beloved Heart-Son of His Holiness Jigdrel Yeshe Dorje Rinpoche and Sangyum Rigdzin Wangmo, beloved husband of Sangyum Sonam Choskit and father of His Eminence Kathok Situ Rinpoche, Tulku Namgyal Dawa Rinpoche and two daughters Dechen and Tseyang.  HHSDR was born February 17th,  1950  in Kongbu and was trained directly under his own father, His Holiness Dudjom Jigdral Yeshe Dorje Rinpoche. Dungse Shenphen Dawa Rinpoche later came to hold and serve the Terser lineage being installed as the head of the Tersar lineage by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche.

His Holiness dedicated his entire life to the preservation and propagation of the Dudjom Tersar Lineage travelling and teaching extensively for more than 40 years throughout the world including Asia, Europe and the United States.  Rinpoche unfailingly adhered to the traditional practices of the Nyingmapa and Dudjom Tersar tradition in particular while conveying all the levels of the teachings in clearly understandable modern applicable terms.

Rinpoche inherited OCD in Greenville, NY at the time of the passing of his father and has developed the center into a thriving Buddhist heart center for all tersar students.  Rinpoche conducted yearly retreats for over 35 years transmitting complete cycles related to the Buddha Dharma and the three roots , Lama, (Tsokyi Thugthig), Yidam (Vajrakilaya Putri Redpung and Namchak Putri) and Khandro, (Khandro Thugthig and Troma Nagmo as well as many other Tantras and terms of his father Dudjom Rinpoche.

His Son, His Eminence Tulku Namgyal Dawa Rinpoche is now carrying on the responsibilities bestowed onto him by his late father HHSDR in general and to act as the spiritual head of Orgyen Cho Dzong and Yeshe Nyingpo Dharma centers in particular.

Salutations to the Holder of Awareness

There are some tasks which seem to just reach out and grab us. We often use the expression: “It has our name on it”. And so it goes that I feel compelled to write something about His Holiness Dungse Shenphen Dawa Norbu Rinpoche who recently passed away from the form most of us have come to recognize him by.

Traditionally, namthars, autobiographies of a Tibetan Lama’s life, are written in hagiographical style. Since I am not a scholar of Tibetan literature, and since I am not a Tibetan, I feel to leave this notational work to someone more suited to or qualified to do the job. My job seems to be to translate not only the words our Vajrayana system is clothed in but moreover to interpret the understanding into western terms. It has been my experience that there is a fine balance between adhering to tradition and maintaining its forms, and assuring the teachings stay fresh, relevant and accessible in whatever terrain they find themselves in. If we throw away the forms completely, we trash several thousands of years of inheritance that was not only intended for us but for future generations as well. Similarly, if we allow the teachings to become the dead tradition of living people, rather than the living tradition of dead people, we will be the cowards who failed to breath life into the lineage.

And so, the following is my limited interpretation of some of the works, events and sentiments surrounding the life of His Holiness from a fairly personal perspective. I am also completely certain that I am not qualified to address the levels of his attainment and so I will try to maintain my low altitude accordingly.

His Holiness SDR was a very warm being. He was wise, knowledgeable, friendly, candid and for me, accessible. He was a teacher, friend, brother, father, and executioner for thousands of people. At the same time, His Holiness was an incredibly private and shy person who made sure to keep his personal and his clerical responsibilities separated despite his accessible presence among us.

For me personally, he was all those things and I would add, one of the closest people in my life although sometimes a disconcerting one. I say this because he never allowed my insincerity to get away with much of anything. He was often cryptic and as a Bhutanese, Tibetan, and Western cultural hybrid of sorts, seemed to pride himself in offering true and balanced reporting about our own plans within samsara and nirvana. This habit of his was, needless to say, ruffling. So much so in fact, that at times I had openly said to him: “I know there are many incarnations wrapped up inside you, Rinpoche. But today I need the one who more often answers positively to bless this activity that I am about to propose to you. I don’t want to hear from the naysayer ok? Can you manage that?” This is the level my stupidity and arrogance has been known to rise to.

To some, Rinpoche appeared arrogant, like a Prince who just happened to be sitting in the right place when the throne became empty. But after knowing him for so long I can tell you with 100% conviction, that it was the exact opposite. That he was extremely humble and it was his pure devotion to the Buddha Dharma in general and his father, His Holiness Jigdral Yeshe Dorje Rinpoche in particular, that sometimes made him seem like a hardliner.

One day, when I had returned from a life of 20 years living and practicing in Nepal, we were discussing the movement of the lineage in America and our current era in general. For this conversation to read properly one must know that although HHSDR could have drawn in hundreds if not thousands of Himalayan people to OCD and Yeshe Nyingpo Dharma centers, he chose to focus on teaching westerners for the most part. I would hesitate to say that we deserved this more or less singular focus of attention even though we were perhaps very eager.

As HHSDR was quite unassuming in his appearance, it was easy to overlook his highly evolved qualities which he held close to the chest. Each and everything he did in a relative sense was an act of respect and devotion to his father, His Holiness Dudjom Jigdral Yeshe Dorje and Guru Rinpoche himself. HHSDR never clung to anything that fell outside the sphere of HHDR’s instructions and he meticulously held to all the requisites for perfect transmission of the Dudjom Tersar under his umbrella and wherever his influence spread.

In his time, HHSDR was able to explain and demonstrate the need for students to understand that the Vajrayana’s underlying principles did not necessarily fall within the social norms of western values. He broke the news to us gradually and gracefully and humbly without scandal thereby maintaining an untarnished holding period of his responsibilities.

But most importantly, I feel that HH SDR was really able to convey the means of practice from view, meditation and action to his western students without ever allowing any of us to get away with inflation of our own egos and without allowing us to use the trappings to validate our own sense of self.

About Rinpoche’s last departing miracles:

Rinpoche told us that dying like a dog was his Dzogchen plan. That meant, in simple terms, less fanfare or display. But that is not at all what happened. Due to the constant rain of blessings from his passing, the entire forty nine days of Dorje Sempa ceremonies carried on seamlessly with tremendous signs for all who attended including for the longevity of the entire Dudjom Tersar lineage. I am not even referring to the miraculous display of the” THUG JAK CHEN SUM” Heart, Tongue and Eyes and other relics he left, but the host of less tangible lofty and practical blessings that rained down. His passing became a root cause for several hitherto unassembled groups of Dudjom Tersar to “regroup” as one family topped off by a most auspicious first USA visit from Yangsi Dudjom Pema Shepa Rinpoche from Tibet. For those who attended HHSDR’s passing and forty nine days, his movement into the Dharmakaya was clearly evident, deeply inspiring everyone.

During a recent Tsok offering held at Yeshe Nyingpo in NYC, his son, Tulku Namgyal Dawa Rinpoche presided. At the end, a few students lingered and sat around Tulku Namgyal Rinpoche sharing jokes, views and love just as we used to with HH SDR. Upon returning to my home I had an auspicious dream and awoke in the middle of the night waking my wife with my burst of laughter from my dream state. Tulkula had hit my Dzog Chen funny bone hard. I mused how ironic and hysterical it was that we were all praying so hard with knit brows for the swift return of HH SDR when in fact not only had he not gone anywhere else, but that he was in fact sitting right in front of us in the form of his son, H.E. Tulku Namgyal Dawa Rinpoche, perhaps HHSDR’s most recent miraculous display?

I cannot really say I ever felt totally comfortable with His Holiness SDR since he always kept me on edge. But I can say that the enrichment he has left in my life feels limitless and for all the unsurpassable treasures he so generously provided for me I am forever grateful and indebted. Also, although we experienced a great loss, how can we complain when he also left us Tulku Namgyal Dawa Rinpoche, a most perfect captain of a ship that has been sailing for millennia.  Meanwhile, so that nothing is left out and since, when it comes to Buddhas, more is better, we adjourn with two prayesr for the swift rebirth of HH Dungse Shenphen Dawa Norbu Rinpoche so that we miserable suffering creatures of clinging and habit can see his “Benefitting Others Moon”-like face dawn again among us.
